Location
From its cosy, hillside perch overlooking the island’s southern shores, the villa affords breathtaking sea views which, as evening approaches, are upstaged by magical sunsets that in turn give way to star-speckled night skies. Here, guests can doze in the shade, cool off in the pool, and gather for alfresco meals on sun-soaked terraces sheltered by traditional stone walls. Perfect for families or friends yearning for a slice of authentic island living, or couples seeking romance. Apart from your nearest neighbour (60 m), the villa sits in splendid isolation but actually enjoys the best of both worlds, with unspoilt beaches, welcoming tavernas and village shops all within easy reach. When not relaxing in the villa or lounging on one of the nearby beaches, guests can rent a boat, go snorkelling or scuba diving, discover charming villages, and hike through an untouched landscape to a hilltop monastery or ancient tower.
Description
Laid out on two levels, the 115 m2 villa harmoniously combines traditional Cycladic architecture with contemporary elements.
The main entrance on the ground level leads to the open-plan living and kitchen area, from where the views are already amazing. The living area has a built-in sofa, while the interior design is purposefully spartan to induce a sense of clutter-free calm, with an equally ‘considerate’ colour scheme of grey, white, natural wood and seagrass. There is also a table for indoor dining and a fully equipped kitchen. A few steps lead down to the lower level with one twin bedroom and a double bedroom that share one bathroom. On this lower level there is also a small storage room for linen and beach towels, where the washing machine is installed.
On the upper level there are two double bedrooms: the master, with its own balcony and a separate bathroom; and a second bedroom with an ensuite shower and a small patio. Both enjoy sea views.
An external terrace surrounds the villa and there is a small table at the back. In front of the villa is a large wooden table that is ideal for snacks or meals, and a few steps lead down to the (unheated) pool. Here, guests can relax on a built-in sofa with a good book, an aperitif, or sit entranced as the sun sinks into the sea. On the other side of the pool is a sunbed area with loungers and an outdoor shower.
